bālo tikaṃ kṛtaṃ prāṇikāyaṃ tasyedaṃ hetusvalakṣaṇakāryaciṃtayā sthānam iti|| hetutvād iti eva viśeṣo ralivyākhyā prakathayiṣyāmā|| yathovāca dhanvaṃtarir iti pratisaṃskartṛsūtraṃ|| tatrādau hetuniścaṃtanam āha|| sarvabhūtānām ityādi|| sarvabhūtāni kṛtyāni utpādayaṃti| vakṣyamāṇamahadāyāmūlatagaṃ tasya kāraṇaṃ kiṃ tad ity āhā avyaktaṃ nāma || nāmaprasiddhyupasaṃgrahe|| tatra vyaktam api yat dravyaṃ prasiddhaṃ || tena vyaktād avyaktam iti || paramātmany api avyaktasaṃjñā nirastā | kiṃ tad avyaktaśabdaprasiddham ity āha| satvarajastamolakṣaṇam iti| carake || punar ātmany evāvyaktavyapadeśā|| ata eva caturviṃśatikatatvaṃ || tasyāvyaktasya kāraṇam athāstīti darśayann āha|| akāraṇam iti avidyamānotpattihetrur aṣṭarūpam iti|| aṣṭau rūpāṇi cāsya|| etā ca tā buddhi ahaṃkāraspāñcatanmātrāṇāṃ pṛthakkāraṇatvaṃ niṣiddhaṃ|| anye pi pradhānasyaiva pariṇamato buddhyādīni rūpāṇīty ūcuḥ||cha|| aṣṭarūpam ity atra jajā|| avyaktabuddhyahaṃkārā|| pañcamahābhūtānīty āha|| paṭhaṃti ca vyāsam|| bhūmir āpo nalo vā mano buddhir eva ca | ahaṃkāra itīyaṃ me bhinnā prakṛtir aṣṭadhā||1||BhG 7.4 tathāpi hi carake 'pi|| svādīni busahaṃ kāras tathāṣṭama iti|| tatra vyāsasya manasā pratiṣṭānirddeśe na carakasya va ruṣo pa śatabhinna darśanatvāt|| atra sarvabhūtānām ity asya bhāṣyaṃ nirddiśann āha|| akhilama stasya mahadāditatvabhūtabhavanopakaraṇātmakaviśvasya bhavahetur iti||cha|| upādānakāraṇam iti|| atha || saṃbhavasya hetur ity ato bhavaṃti|| tatrākhila jagadutpādakārakasya mahadādir ity arthaḥ|| tadekamiti śilopaṭṭavat sāmyāvasthāyāṃ sthitena punas tridaṃḍavat|| ataḥ śilākākalyaṃ bhinnam etat vyavasthitam| anekeṣāṃ bahūnāṃ kṣetrajñānāṃ śarīravidāṃ karmmapuruṣāṇāṃ teṣāṃ śarīrabhāvāya|| adhiṣṭāṇaṃ viṣayaḥ|| eteṣāṃ karmmātmakānāṃ punaḥ parityāgam eva|| ekam anekeṣāṃ adhiṣṭānam iti|| prasrutam upamānena saṃbaṃdaṃ kurvann āha||cha|| audakānāṃ bhāvānām iti||udakabhāvāsv audakāḥ|| nadīnadasarastaḍāgaprabhṛtayaḥ|| ānye audakabhāvā matsyādaya ity āhuḥ|| tan na manyaṃte|| gaṃgādyadhiṣṭānatvāt|| audakānāṃ bhāvānāṃ pradeśākhyāpako dṛṣṭoparsmmavatad evāvyaktaṃ karaṇatve nādhikṛtaṃ|| sarvabhūtānāṃ kāraṇam iti vacanāt|| ātmanaḥ punar bhūtasadbhāvina akāraṇatvaṃ nityatvaṃ ca|| sadakāraṇavan nityam iti vacanāt|| ata eva kṣetrajñasya paṃgvaṃdhar iva saṃyogaḥ|| tad uktaṃ|| puruṣasya darśanārthaṃ kevalyārthaṃ|| tathā pradhmanasya|| paṃgvaṃdhavad ubhayor api| saṃyo gā tatkṛtā sargraḥ |pulliṃgasaṃjñā tatkṛta iti tat sa yoga kṛtaḥ| saṃskṛta iti satvādilakaṇaḥ| nanu kasmād ekasmāt anekakarmmaṇāṃ sarvvabhūtānāṃ utpāda ucyate | anekaśaktipracitāt pradhānād kṣetrajñādhiṣṭitān mahān utpadyate| eva kevalāt kāryabhedāt prajāyaṃte| mahattatvaṃ jāyate prakṛter buddhir jñāyate ity arthaḥ| saiva kāryātmikāt eva buddheḥ karaṇaṃ| sā tu cicchaktir nirmmanādarppaṇamūrttir iva rūpādyarthachāyām anupratipadyate| samahān talliṃgam iti| talliṃgādiviśeṣaṇena śuddhasatvānāṃ avadhāraṇavyavachinnamātravivekalakṣaṇam asatyāṃ buddhiṃ nirasyati| tad uktaṃ carake| suddhasatvasya yā suddhā satyā buddhiḥ pravarttate| yayā bhinatty atibalaṃ mahāmohamayaṃ tamaḥ| sarvvabhāvasvabhāvajño yayā bhavati nispṛhaḥ|| yogaṃ yayā sādhayati sāṃkhyaḥ saṃpadyate yayā|| yayā nopaityahaṃkāraṃ nopāste kāraṇaṃ yayā| yayā nālaṃbate kiṃcit sarvaṃ saṃpadyate yayā| yāṃti brahma yayā nityam akṣaraṃ ca tathākṣaraṃ| tathā punar api tatraivoktaṃ| vad utpadyate satyā buddhir nnaitad ahaṃ yayā| naiva tanmātramativijñānaya jñaḥ sarvvam ativarttate rūpādyartha yāntarāśrayā punar ahaṃkārakaraṇāt| ahaṃkāras tu kāryabuddhibheda eva yena carake kāryabuddhivivaraṇenaivāhaṃkāro pi vivṛtaḥ | tathā ca|| kāraṇāni mano buddhir buddhiḥ karmmeṃdriyāṇi ca | buddher hi grahaṇeni vāhaṃkāragrahaṇāt sa tu| trividhā vaikārikādibhedena| vaikārikādisaṃjñās tu pūrvācāryaiḥ saṃvyavahārā ya kṛtāḥ|| vaikārikādiṣu yato yad utpadyate tat sannirddiśann āha|| tatra vaikārikādityādi|| tatra vaikārikasātvikās tejaso rājasaḥ| bhūtāditāmasaḥ| sātvikās tejāso rājasaḥ bhūtāditāmasaḥ sātvikād rājasasahāyāt| tamomātrānuviddhāt| ekadeśeṃdriyāṇi tallalakṣaṇāni prakāśarūpāṇi | tāny ahaṃkārād utpannāni| ahaṃkārāṇīṃdriyāṇīti sāṃkhye vaidyake tu bhautikāni| tata evaṃ pūrvāṇi triśrotrādīni ghrāṇāṃtāni|| buddhīṃdriyāṇi buddher buddher āśrayatvāt|| teṣām karmmāśrayāṇītarāṇi vāgādīni pādāṃtāni| ubhayātmakaṃ mana iti| ubhayeṃdriyasvabhāvam iti| pravṛtto hi teṣāṃ manasā sahā bhinnānām eva pravṛttā tat sa bhāvam iva vṛ bhūtādir iti|| tāmasāt tejaso sahāyāt sātvamātrayānuviddhāt| tallakṣaṇāny eva mohādi lakṣaṇaṃ nirddiśann āha|| vātavarṇṇetyādi| tatra vātavedanāvarṇṇāḥ syā vāruṇādayaḥ| pittasya varṇṇāḥ pītanīlahāridrādayaḥ| vedanā punar opaśoṣacoradāhādayaḥ |śleṣmaṇas tu varṇṇāḥ| śvetādayaḥ| vedanāḥ kaṃḍvādayaḥ| gaṃdhas tu vāyor nnāsty eva| kaphasya ca viśro gaṃdho 'nukto 'pi draṣṭavyaḥ| kaphaduṣṭe pittasya gaṃdhaṃ kuṇape pūtipūyābhe ca vakṣati śoṇitavarṇṇam iti| śoṇitavarmmaṃ pittavedanaṃ kuṇapagaṃdhaṃ carake | kuṇapaḥ
